Cannabis extracts are made by stripping cannabinoid and terpene-rich trichomes from the cannabis plant using a solvent or a mechanical process. This process creates a “concentrated” product of varying consistencies that’s free of plant material (That’s why extracts are also called concentrate!). Extracts can be vaporized using a method called “dabbing,” or they can be used as an ingredient in other cannabis products.

It’s important to note that all cannabis concentrates are not the same. Different types of cannabis extracts can be made using different extraction and refinement processes.
